Silvio and Peter Coad will be sharing centre-stage at Art Images from the 14th October until the 13th November. Silvio and Peter have been colleagues for more than 30 years, exhibiting together in Japan and Malaysia. This is Peter’s first show in Adelaide since 2011 and not to be missed.

For SA Living Artists festival, Silvio’s studio will be open for 2 weekends, 13th-14th August and 20th-21st, from 10am -5pm. His colleagues John Nelson, Barry Lincoln, Sally Wickes and Tim Spooner will also have works on display. Devonshire teas in the afternoon, gold coin donation.

Silvio is currently working at Goolwa for 15 days, for the Alexandrina Council, carving a tree-trunk alongside his 2 mentees, local Lars Heldmann and Ngarrindjeri man Robert Wuldi. They are working near Signal Point Gallery from Saturday 23rd – Friday 29th July, Monday 1st – Friday 5th August and Monday 8th – Wednesday 10th August.

Silvio will be having a stand at the University of Adelaide PALEO conference next week, Mon 11th- Friday 15th July. He will be displaying and working on a series of small works based on Ediacaran fossils and trilobites.

Silvio’s stainless steel grates covering the ponds in the rose garden at the Waite Arboretum have been unveiled.

This wonderful arboretum is part of the Urrbrae campus of the Waite Institute of the University of Adelaide and is open every day from dawn to dusk and there are sculptures by Greg Johns and Silvio to be discovered as well as an amazing collection of trees from all around the world. Entry is free and there are public conveniences behind Urrbrae House.
