Silvio is showing some work at the beautiful Barossa Chateau, 35 Hermann Thumm Drive, Lyndoch, opening on the 5th November. Phone 8524 4920 for enquiries. There is a lovely rose garden and an excellent gift shop. Creed wines are available for sale too, and we highly recommend the Sparkling Pink Moscato…a real festive drink.
Silvio will be hosting the SA Stone Sculptors’ Association members who will be working at a mini-symposium during SA Living Artists’ Festival. Daily, Saturday 12th till Sunday 20th August, 10 am – 4pm. The Studio is at 157 Swamp Road, Balhannah, with 4WD parking on the south paddock.
Silvio enjoyed his 2 months in Middleton, carving the whales “Buttons & Bobby” from a red-gum log. He was plied with coffee & cake by the locals and assisted by James Cowley. Jen Watts, the organiser of the project, from the Middleton Town & Foreshore Association, was a delight to work with.
Silvio’s WAISSS sculpture is going to be installed on Rottnest Island soon.
Silvio’s Whale at Basham’s Beach, Middleton, is close to being finished…he will tackle the Calf next week from the 16th onwards.
