Silvio’s studio will be open for SA Living Artists’ Festival on Wednesdays 6th & 13th, Friday 8th – Sunday 10th, Friday 15th – Sunday 17th between 10am – 4.30pm. Members of the SA Stone Sculptors will be working during that time and there will be small works for sale in the small studio.

Silvio’s new sculpture, “Water and Stone” has been installed along the walkway between the old and new developments in the shopping centre. There are bronze geckos on the other side of the base. His colleague Peter Syndicas has had a suspended, 10m “twig” sculpture installed in the new section.

Silvio will again be demonstrating woodcarving at the Port Elliot Show.

Silvio took the stone sculptors to Wirrealpa Station via Blinman in the Flinders Ranges. It was a wonderful experience, especially for the newer members of the group, sourcing rock, carving and exchanging stories. All are eager to repeat the exercise in 2025. Silvio and a couple of colleagues also have work on display at the exhibition, “A Brush with Art”, in the Blinman Hall. Open daily 10am – 4pm until October 14th. Gold coin entry. Silvio delivered a Possum to the Friends of the Mount Coot-tha Botanical Gardens and installed 28 small bronze sculptures along the Children’s Trail.

There will be many creative workshops during the 9 day event, and the SA Stone Sculptors will be carving at Crystal Lake Park. Silvio will be carving chocolate, supplied by MELBA’S OF WOODSIDE on Sunday 5th May.
