April 2012 – Symposium Wrap-Up – Isla-Sanz

They came in their thousands to watch the sculptors at work and went away amazed and excited.  The Cedars, Sir Hans Heysen’s home & studio, quadrupled its takings for the month.  A win-win situation for the Symposium and the estate.  The Committee cannot thank the councils, sponsors, volunteers and the public enough!

Silvio’s piece will be completed in May.  He had his work cut out as artistic director and dogman for the crane, which in fact was an excavator handled with brilliance & finesse by Scott Hunter of Hunter Brothers at Carey Gully.

Miguel Isla-Sanz’s window piece to go in front of the Coventry Library at Stirling.
